Decorate A Dining Table In Pottery Barn Style

The solid, consistent color of lemons makes them ideal for a Pottery Barn design.

Pottery Barn epitomizes country style infused with city life. You can emulate this style in your own home decor without actually having to purchase pieces from the retailer. Arranging your dining table accessories to mimic Pottery Barn's style is one way to bring the retailer's design elements into your home inexpensively. One of the design themes Pottery Barn has used repeatedly in the past infuses bright, farm produce or flowers with sleek tableware and glassware.

Instructions

Fruit

1. Gather 10 or more bright, North American farm fruits like lemons, limes, red or green apples. All have vibrant coloring. You can mix green and red apples, and lemons and limes, or use only lemons or only red apples as you see fit.

2. Place the fruit into a large, stark-white or wooden serving dish or bowl. Select serving dishes that are sleek and modern-looking, incorporating the city elements of this design concept.

3. Arrange crystal glasses upside down on a matching white or wood serving platter. Place this arrangement next to the fruit bowl.

4. Place a matching crystal pitcher beside the glass arrangement. During mealtime, fill it with juice.

Flowers

5. Fill the bottom fifth of a clear vase with matching rocks. Pick a vase that's sleek and modern-looking. Choose rocks in a neutral tone like brown, black or white.

6. Stuff a large bouquet of vibrant-colored flowers like green viburnums, yellow-button poms, purple hyacinths or standard mums.

7. Set the table with stark-white dishware and shiny flatware. Use modern bowls, set upon matching plates.
