Lay Linoleum Flooring In A Bathroom

One of the easiest upgrades to your bathroom is replacing the flooring. You basically only have a few options when replacing your bathroom floor. You can either choose tile, marble or linoleum. This article talks about installing tile linoleum which is by far the easiest and most inexpensive type of flooring you can use to upgrade your bathroom.

Instructions

1. The first step is to measure your bathroom floor don't worry about all the nooks and crannies just get a good idea of how many square feet of tile linoleum you need.

2. Once you get the square footage, mark the center of the room in both directions and lay out all the tiles individually to make sure you have the right fit. For those places that are hard to get to make sure you use butcher paper to create a template and then use the template to cut out that particular piece of linoleum. Make sure you have all the pieces pre-cut before you start gluing things to the floor.

3. Check the condition of the floor to make sure if it's completely level. Use a level to check that and fill any low spots with floor leveler. Clean debris from the floor using a broom, getting any old glue off of the floor with a scraper. Make sure the floor is as clean as possible before you start applying glue.

4. Start gluing the tile pieces to the floor using the center marks as a guide. Make sure that you work from the farthest point inside till you work your way to the door. The reason for this is because you want to allow the glue to set before anyone steps on the tile. Most of the tiles will have a glue adhesive, however you should put additional glue to the floor to make sure it sticks.
