Tinkerbell And Disney Fairy Bedroom Ideas

The Disney Fairies is a division of Disney that is centered around the Disney character Tinkerbell. Tinkerball was created in 1953 with the release of the full-length animated film Peter Pan. You can create a Disney fairy room that features Tinkerbell for your child. Decor is centered around pastel colors and the feeling of being outdoors in nature. A Disney fairy room allows you to incorporate magic and make-believe into your child's room.

Bedding

Your child's bed will typically be the focal point of their bedroom. There is a wide variety of bedding options that work well for a Tinkerbell or fairy bedroom. Choose light pastel colors and add matching throw pillows. You can also find many different fairy or Tinkerbell quilts and comforters at most major department stores. Disney offers the Tinkerbell bedding set that comes with everything that you need to complete your room.

Walls

Paint your bedroom walls with a color that matches your bedding. Colors that work well together for a muted bedroom are mint green, light blue, lavender and pink. Use fairy murals to display on the wall. They are inexpensive and easy to hang and do not leave marks on the wall. Choose vinyl murals that simply peel and stick to the wall. They can also be easily removed and reused. Hang posters and wall art with adhesive hooks to fill up empty wall space. Install a canopy above the bed to finish off your fairy room.

Floors

Choose throw rugs that feature flowers and butterflies. Add a throw rug beside your bed that matches your bedding to help tie the room decor together. Place matching large pillows in groups on the floor. This will create a portable sitting area in front of the TV or near a bookshelf. You can also use cut-out rugs that feature the Disney Fairies to place in various locations of your room.

Accessories

The accessories you choose for your bedroom will complete the room and tie the other decor together. Choose lighting in matching colors to complement accessories in the room. Add fairy-themed toys along shelves and on top of large furniture. Use soft, pastel shades to give the feeling of a make-believe land or dreams. Install fairy tiebacks with your curtains and add inexpensive fairy wings to your walls for added decor.
