Decorate A Master Bedroom With Pictures

Pictures, including artwork, can enhance your master bedroom, making it a more enjoyable place to relax.

Your master bedroom should be a reflection of you and the things that make you happy. This is the area where you should always feel free to relax, unwind and rejuvenate your mind and body. Surround yourself with colors and accessories, such as pictures, that make you happy and put your mind at ease. Certain pictures, according to feng shui, should not be present in your bedroom. These would include pictures of your parents, children or other people.

Instructions

1. Select pictures of you and your partner or artwork that complements the color scheme or theme of your bedroom. The images that you choose should have common elements, such as colors, to tie them together. Pictures of you and your partner, or other "pairs," are said to enhance positive romantic energy between you and your partner, according to feng shui practices.

2. Mat the pictures using a similar color, texture or size for each mat. This will give all of the pictures and artwork a common element to help tie them together, even if you include different groupings and arrangements.

3. Frame the pictures and artwork. The frames you use should depend on your bedroom decor. For example, dark ornate or simple frames complement a romantic and elegant room with soft hues and dark furniture. Use red frames to display black and white prints in a contemporary room decorated in black and white with hints of red.

4. Hang the pictures in groupings or arrange them on your night stands or dresser. One large picture or two moderate-sized pictures could hang above your bed. Hang a small grouping of pictures opposite your bed where they'll be at eye level when you're in bed. A smaller picture could be placed by your bedside or on your dresser.
