Fit A Computer Into A Bedroom

If you have a lot of computer equipment and not a lot of space, it is important to make the most of the space you do have. One way to make the most of your space is to fit your computer equipment into your bedroom. It is important to prepare the space carefully before you get started.

Instructions

1. Look around your bedroom for a space you can use for your computer equipment. If you have an empty space between dresser drawers or an empty spot on an existing desk, you can use that space for your computer. If you do not have any empty space you can convert an existing space for your computer.

2. Measure the space you have available, then choose a computer desk or other piece of furniture that will fit there. Place that furniture into the space you have allocated, but do not push it all the way back.

3. Plug a power strip or UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) into the closest available outlet and run the power cords from the computer to the power strip. Place the computer or laptop on the desk and plug it in. If you are pressed for space, it may be a good idea to choose a laptop over a desktop, since it will take up less space.

4. Install a keyboard drawer under the computer desk if the desk does not have one built in. This will help you make more efficient use of the space since you will not need to store the keyboard on the desk.

5. Store all of your computer-related equipment, including software packages, DVDs, CDs and computer manuals, in the drawers that are built into the computer desk. This will help you make more efficient use of the space under the desk and free up additional space in the bedroom.
