Make A Bedroom Lock

A lock for your bedroom will give you peace of mind.

Bedrooms are private areas that you may feel the need to lock, especially depending on your living situation. While you can make an effective lock for when you're in your bedroom out of simple pieces of hardware, it may be just as easy to purchase an interior doorknob that has a built-in lock. You can find these almost anywhere from bargain stores to hardware stores for around $5.00 at the time of publication.

Instructions

1. Drill a pilot hole into your doorframe at the height you would like your door lock to be.

2. Screw the screw eye of your gate hook set into your pilot hole.

3. Screw the latch hook of your hook set into the door at the same height as the screw eye in the frame.
