Place Two Dressers In A Bedroom Layout

You will need to consider room symmetry when putting two dressers in a bedroom layout. Dressers are large, heavy pieces of furniture, and sometimes they become a focal point in the room. If they are not identical, it is preferable that you try to make the two dressers match in some way before you put them in a room together. Painting both of them a light color will help take away some of the attention they tend to attract. You can also have them both finished in the same color of wood.

Instructions

1. Measure the length and width of the room. Also measure the dimensions at the bases of the dressers including the depth and how much room you will need in front of the dressers so you can easily pull the drawers out.

2. Decide how much room you will have for other pieces of furniture in your bedroom. Place the bed so that it is not in the way. If you decide that you will not have enough room for all of the furniture you need in your bedroom, consider putting one of the dressers in the closet.

3. Arrange the two dressers across the room from each other on opposite walls, if possible. Placing them diagonally opposite from one another is ideal, because it creates symmetry. If the two dressers are different shapes or sizes -- one is long and low while the other is a tall chest-of-drawers -- try putting them on adjacent walls.
