Bathroom Colors That Match With Nickel

Pastel colors pair well with nickel-colored bathroom faucets.

Nickel, or a whitish shade of silver, is an understated metallic shade that can adorn the bathroom's faucets, walls or tile flooring. There are several colors from the warm and cool sides of the color wheel that match this light silver hue to give the bathroom an air of sophisticated comfort, or a sense of calm relaxation.

Black

Black and nickel look great together, as black and gray are often the main colors in a modern home space. An accent wall painted a muted shade of black and lined with nickel-colored paneling is sleek and and attractive; reserving black paint for the accent wall only will keep the bathroom from appearing drab and cold. Black marble counter tops to complement the nickel faucets you've chosen add instance elegance to the bathroom space. If the walls or flooring are nickel or silvery white, black accents like a shower curtain on silver hooks and a towel rack on the main wall with plush black towels will complete the look.

Fuchsia

Gray and pink pair well together, so a bright pink shade like fuchsia will complement a light silver shade like nickel. Fuchsia is also tinged with purple, and lends sophistication to a guest or master bathroom while providing a splash of vibrant color. Paint the cabinets underneath the nickel-colored sink a shade of fuchsia to serve as the most visually appealing feature in the bathroom. Or, paint the wall where the gray marble counter top is positioned to blend elegance with vibrant energy. Fuchsia shelves installed on a nickel wall add an understated pop of color, and hue-rich accents like candles, toilet covers and area rugs add an eye-catching contrast to nickel in the bathroom without overwhelming the space.

Light Green or Yellow

Pastel shades like pistachio green or canary yellow are a soft, pretty choice for a bathroom decorated country style; the color scheme is also ideal for a bathroom that displays demure, feminine style. Gingham-patterned towels in green or yellow displayed on a nickel-colored counter top add modest color. Shower curtains in the same patterns will complement the synthetic yellow rose or daisy arrangement in the bathroom. Pistachio green is light enough to paint on all the walls of the bathroom, and it can be visually appealing with nickel-colored paneling. Adding a stripe of pastel yellow to the center of the wall brings the colors together without taking away from the attractive nickel color on the sinks, toilet or bathtub.

Dark Blue or Purple

Aubergine or navy blue are jewel tones that will make the nickel accents in the bathroom even more appealing. Dark blue may be too overpowering for the entire bathroom, even though the color promotes relaxation. So, an accent wall in this color or navy blue paneling is decoratively sound. A navy blue arrangement of candles on the counter, or a dark blue counter to house the nickel sink and faucet is attractive as well. Deep purple, the color of balance, can make you feel at ease in the bathroom; this chic color is fitting for shower curtains and area rugs. Aubergine trimming in a bathroom with nickel walls is impressive as well, as the neutral gray color matches well with purple.
