Decorate A Corner Of The Bedroom With A Big Chair

For many, the bedroom serves as a den of relaxation. If you want your space to be comfortable, providing an escape from the outside world when you need to put your feet up and relax, placing a large and inviting chair in your space is a wise choice. By positioning a chair in your bedroom corner, you can craft a perfect-for-private-time area that will be ready whenever you need a moment of seclusion.

Instructions

1. Select a chair in an upholstered fabric that matches the bedroom's motif. If you're repurposing a previously-purchased chair, place a slipcover on it, making it an aesthetically pleasing addition to your space.

2. Situate the chair kitty-corner in the space. Place the back of the chair diagonally into the corner, allowing it to face out into the room and making it more attractive and inviting. If your bedroom is large, and you seek a different look, turn the chair so it faces into the corner, creating an entirely separate seating area. Don't attempt this option, however, if your room is petite as doing so will close off the space and make your room appear even smaller.

3. Place a small table next to the chair for ease of use. Select a simple end table that matches the wood tones already present in your room. If you have an otherwise acceptable table that doesn't match your existing wood tones, paint it in a hue that matches your room's motif so it doesn't look out of place.

4. Put a tall lamp behind the chair. Arrange the lamp so the light will shine onto the seat of the chair, making it easier for you to use the chair for tasks that may require added light, such as reading your favorite book.
