Another idea is a nightstand on one side of the bed with a small table on the other. Another option is a stack of large books. Keep both items about the same height for a symmetrical look.
4. Place a dresser or chest of drawers on the opposite wall from the bed and, if possible, place your television on this piece of furniture to conserve space. Stick with taller dressers that take up less floor space.
5. Install shelves to give your bedroom more storage space. Floating shelves above the bed will give you places to store items you use daily.
6. Think double-duty when decorating. Store items under your bed to make the most of all your space. Look for decorative boxes or plastic bins to store out-of-season clothing or extra linens.
