When you're ready to redo your bedroom and want to create a beach theme, you may think that your silver-painted furniture doesn't go with your new look. 1. Paint your bedroom a pale, pastel blue color that complements your silver furniture. While the ocean may be a deeper hue, the sky is often a pale blue. The icy shade of pastel blue will create a cool, crisp look for your beach theme.
2. Collect an array of mermaids and place them strategically around . Look for those portrayed completely in silver or in pastel colors with shimmering silver scales on the tail. Look for carvings and wall hangings that depict the sea god Neptune, who is often depicted in silver.
3. Collect or purchase a variety of seashells to display on your dressing table, dresser and nightstand. Spray paint some of the shells silver to match your furniture. 4. Create displays of candles to set around your bedroom. Choose candles in seafoam green, pale blue and silver for a whimsical decor. Select candles in various shapes and sizes for a look that adds interest to your arrangement.
5. Set up an aquarium in your room to bring a piece of the ocean to you when you can't get to the ocean. Choose silver dollar fish or neon tetras to create a silvery glow in your aquarium as the fish swim around their environment.
