Bathroom Remodeling Ideas For Bathtubs

Your bathtub can be remodeled into a combined or spa-style bathtub.

Whether you have just moved into a house or feel as though you need a change in your current home, remodeling is a great way to add a bit of your personality or style into different aspects of your home. When speaking in terms of the bathroom, the way your bathtub is set up can change the entire image of your bathroom from boring and cramped to spacious and elegant.

Stand-Alone

A stand-alone bathtub is ideal for those nights that you want to take a relaxing bath without interfering with your significant other's shower. If you have space in your bathroom, preferably in the corner, measure out this space and make sure that you have enough space for the bathtub of your choice. Remodel the bathroom so that the shower is located by itself and the separate bathtub is large enough for you to comfortably sit in. Select a Jacuzzi style for your stand-alone bathtub or an egg shaped style for a more modern and futuristic look.

Combined

If your bathroom already has a bathtub separate from the shower, remodel the bathroom to have a combined bathtub and shower and use the remaining space for something else. This is ideal if you do not plan on taking a bath when someone else is trying to take a shower; it saves space that can be used to create a sense of openness in the bathroom or if you want to add another element -- such as storage -- to your bathroom.

Spa-Style

In order to remodel your bathtub into one you'd find in a spa, you first must determine how much space you have available. This provides an option more for those who have large bathrooms that will not look odd with a modern, spa-style bathtub. Purchase an egg shaped bathtub that has many features like one at the spa, such as LED lights that change colors depending on the mood you are in. These lights also produce a range of colors that destress you and your body through color therapy. This style also serves as a jetted massage tub, and contains a feature that prevents water from escaping into the rest of the bathroom. If you prefer a shower in the tub or simply want to enjoy the sound of trickling water, the bathtub features a shower nozzle that sprays the water in a way that makes you feel as though you are in the rainforest.
