Decorate A Dining Room With Zebra Print

A zebra print adds an abstract, modern touch to a decorating scheme.

Deciding incorporate a zebra print into your dining room requires careful planning and consideration. You will need to select other colors that will work with your zebra print to complement the pattern. Primary or bright shades will work best to bring out the zebra print.

Instructions

1. Paint an accent wall of your dining room with your chosen bright contrasting color, such as one of the primary colors--red, yellow or bright blue--or another bright shade, such as pink, turquoise or lime green. Paint the other walls white. Having an accent wall of color creates contrast in your space and will heighten the effect of a zebra print.

2. Add a zebra print rug. A white and black wool rug is another option.

3. Select chairs that are upholstered in zebra print fabric.

4. Add zebra print curtains or white or black curtains with a zebra print topper.

5. Add framed images of zebras or frame zebra print fabric. Abstract paintings utilizing your primary or bright colors will add contrast.
