Remove Trafficmaster Tile Adhesive

Use mineral spirits and a cloth to remove TrafficMaster adhesive.

TrafficMaster is a line of resilient vinyl flooring that duplicates the look of wood floors and ceramic tile. The TrafficMaster planks are waterproof, making them an ideal choice for areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and basements. Unlike traditional peel-and-stick vinyl tiles that adhere to subfloors, TrafficMaster planks adhere only to each other. The planks join to each other by means of adhesive grip-strips that run along two sides of the planks. After installing TrafficMaster ceramic tile planks, you may end up with residual adhesive on the planks or on your hands. Remove any residual adhesive to avoid contaminating other surfaces.

Instructions

1. Moisten a clean, soft rag with a small amount of mineral spirits.

2. Rub the residual adhesive with the rag, gently, until all adhesive is removed.

3. Dampen a clean rag with water. Apply a drop of liquid dish-washing soap to the rag and work the soap into the rag by rubbing the rag against itself.

4. Wipe the area previously cleaned with mineral spirits with the soapy rag to remove any trace of mineral spirits.

5. Rinse the area with clean water. If removing adhesive from your hands, hold your hands under running tap water. If removing adhesive from a TrafficMaster tile, dampen a rag with clean water and wipe the area.
