Clean Resilient Flooring

Resilient flooring is great for the home. The durability and no wax features make it an excellent choice for kitchens, bathrooms and other areas that see a lot of traffic. If you don't know the manufacturer's recommendations for cleaning your resilient flooring, don't worry. Regular maintenance and a common household cleaner is the answer, and with regular upkeep your resilient vinyl floor will look like new for many years to come.

Instructions

1. Sweep or vacuum your resilient flooring on a regular basis to keep it free of dirt and grit that can cause wear.

2. Pour 2 tsbp. household ammonia into 1/2 gallon of warm water.

3. Wash the floor by dipping a mop into the bucket of cleaner and wringing out excess moisture. Mop the floor, using a back and forth motion and overlapping each pass until the entire floor has been cleaned.

4. Rinse the floor with clean warm water, applying it in the same manner as the cleaning process and changing the water often.

5. Allow your resilient flooring to dry completely before allowing foot traffic on the floor.
