Your bedroom should be a retreat from the world and a place where you are comfortable and want to stay all day. You can do a few simple things to turn your room into a romantic retreat that is both sensual and comfortable. Bedding
The most important aspect of a romantic bedroom is the bed. Your bed will be the focal point of the room, so you should design your room around the bedding that you choose. Red is the most popular color for romance and can be very sexy, but be careful not to overdo such a rich color. Choose golds and white as accent colors if you choose red for your bedding. Make sure the bedding is both comfortable and luxurious. If you are redoing your room on a budget, your priority should be on the bed.
Curtains
Curtains should match the bedding and complete the overall look of a sexy room. Layer your curtains to block out the world so that you can stay in bed all day if you wish. Use floor to ceiling blinds topped with sheers. Place blackout curtains or drapes on top of the sheers so that they can be pulled back when you wish to let light in but can also provide a dark, sexy oasis for times you want to retreat.
Candles and Flowers
Candles come in a multitude of fragrances and styles and can set the mood for a sexy room. They provide a nice aroma and excellent lighting for romance. Choose colors that complement your room colors and choose light scents that are not overpowering such as vanilla and lavender. Silk and real flowers can be placed around the room to add a romantic feel. Use potpourri as a filler in your vases and pots to add extra scent.
