Decorate A Dining Table

dining room table

Whether you are having a formal party or a casual get-together, preparing your dining room for the event can be a big deal and can make all the difference. The dining room table is the focal point of the room, so you have plenty of options when it comes to table d cor and accessories. Spend some time picking out the pieces you like, and then decorate the table according to your liking.

Instructions

1. Lay the table cloth or table runner across the table. Make sure it has been ironed for a crisp, clean look. The cloths are optional, so if you prefer the tabletop be visible, you do not have to use either one.

2. Place a dinner plate in front of each chair, and then place a salad plate on top of each dinner plate. Place the soup bowl on top of each salad plate.

3. Set the silverware alongside the flatware. The knife and spoon can be placed on the right, and the dinner fork and salad fork can be placed on the left side. You can place the dessert spoon on the table along the top of the dinner plate.

4. Place the napkins on top of the soup bowl. Lay the napkin out flat, pinch the center, and then pull upward until it looks like a flower bloom on top. Slip the pinched end through the napkin ring.

5. Arrange both tall and short candles in the center of the table and across the table from one end to the other if it is a longer rectangular shape. Tall and short candles will add depth and a variety of light to the room.
