Bedroom Wall Paint Color Ideas

Sometimes there are just too many colors to choose from. This is especially true when it comes time to paint your bedroom walls. With so many colors available, it is hard to know what to do with your bedroom walls. Before deciding on a paint color, consider your personality and the way you use your bedroom. You will want your bedroom to be a reflection of your personality and style while serving the purpose you have selected.

Peach

Use a warm, soft peach paint for your bedroom walls. Avoid dark peach shades that tend to be too orange, making them look harsh and difficult to match. Use dark green or blue accessories, throwing in a bit of burnt orange, to add color to your bedroom.

Green

Paint the walls of your bedroom a soft green such as sea-foam green. Add accessories that are dark purples such as eggplant to add color. When creating an accent wall, use a forest or moss green color. Avoid bright and shiny greens like pea green or lime.

Blue

Use a soft blue for your bedroom walls. Shades of blue are easy to match with other accessories and create a relaxing atmosphere. Add rich reds, dark blues and black for accent colors in your window treatments and bedding.

Yellow

Try a warm yellow for the paint on your bedroom walls. Many shades of blues and purples would work well as accent colors to the warm yellow color. Try painting a bright yellow border close to your ceiling to add visual interest to your bedroom.

Taupe

Paint your bedroom a warm taupe. Taupe is a comforting and relaxing color. It coordinates well with browns, blues and some dark red shades. Add black or dark gray, widely-spaced pinstripes to one wall to add depth and dimension to the taupe wall.
