Wall Ideas For A Disney Princess Bedroom

At times, it seems like nearly every little girl (and even some grown up girls) love the Disney princesses. Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Ariel, Belle and Cinderella are the six princesses often associated with this line, though other princesses are sometimes added in, such as the princess from "The Princess and the Frog." If your little one dreams of becoming a princess herself one day, you'll find hundreds of different bedroom decorations and even some great ideas for the walls.

Woods

Paint the walls a light shade of green, and then make your own outdoor scene. In "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves," much of the action takes place outside, and the same holds true for some of the other movies. Use dark brown paint to paint trees in your outdoor scene and then a darker shade of green for leaves on the trees. Add a few brightly colored flowers to the base of the trees, and fill in the empty spots by painting on images of rabbits, squirrels and other animals found in the woods.

Castles

Use shades of white, blue and silver paint to create a Disney-themed castle on your little girl's wall. These are the colors often associated with Cinderella's castle, but you also have the option of using white, pink and silver; white and silver; or any other combination that your girl loves. Sketch out the basic design of the castle on the walls, and fill in with your paint colors.

Posters

Look for movie posters from the Disney princess movies, including "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin." Check online, but also look at your local video store, and ask about buying any older promotional posters they may still have on hand. You can also find some basic posters that depict the Disney Princesses at your local big box or mass merchandise stores or even stores that sell movies and DVDs. And, of course, the Disney Store is always an option. Slide the posters into frames, and you have an inexpensive way of decorating the walls.

Murals

Disney makes a number of murals specifically meant for hanging on the walls, and several depict the Disney princesses. Some of the sets even include other characters from the movie, such as Sebastian and Flounder from "The Little Mermaid." The murals work like stickers, with a sticky substance on the back. All you need to do is peel off the backing of the mural, attach it to the wall and smooth out any air bubbles.
