Make Online Blueprints For Bedrooms

If you've decided it's time to update your bedroom or even add a new bedroom to your house, it helps to get a general idea of what you want it to look like ahead of time. With one of a variety of online tools, you can draw up a crude blueprint of the room, including the layout and other physical attributes. When finished, you can then take the plans to an architect, builder or carpenter, who can turn your concept into a reality.

Instructions

1. Create an online blueprint for your bedroom using Small Blueprinter. With this online-based tool you design the bedroom floor plan from a top viewpoint. Add or delete walls, doors, windows and even plants in a few clicks. During the process, you can take a walk-through of the room to get an idea of what it will look like in real life.

2. Use Plan3D to develop online blueprints for your bedroom. This tool allows you to focus on the design of just one room instead of having to create a whole house. Add windows, floors, and even furniture (including beds and desks) to your bedroom, then view it three-dimensionally. This option requires an online account and subscription.

3. Design a blueprint of your bedroom using the Design A Room tool offered by Armstrong (a flooring and paint company). Choose from a casual, contemporary, traditional, eclectic or European bedroom style to start from, then make modifications. Change the walls and floors of the room to see what works best. Print the look or save the room to an account to refer to later if you wish.
