Clean Dining Room Chair Upholstery

Like any other item in your household, dining room chairs need regular cleaning and upkeep to look their best. Even if you have a formal dining room that's only used a few times a year, regular maintenance will keep the chairs clean and ready to use year-round, and will keep the whole dining room smelling fresh.

Instructions

1. Remove dust from the chairs' upholstery with the vacuum cleaner attachments. Use the brush attachment first on the flat part of the seat, followed by the narrow nozzle attachment to get into the crevices and folds.

2. Treat any stains on the upholstery.

If using commercial stain remover, spray directly onto the stain and let sit for about five minutes, then dab the stain and the immediate area around it with a wet towel. Let dry before continuing.

3. Wait for the spots to dry. This can take as long as overnight.

4. Clean the entire chair fabric. Pour a tablespoon of regular laundry detergent into a bucket or large bowl and fill with lukewarm water. Gently scrub the soapy water into the entire seat. Rinse well with a soap-less wet towel, and allow to dry.
