Decorating your home can be a fun time for you and your family. However, buying supplies to decorate every room can become expensive in a hurry. There are plenty of ways to decorate your home without breaking the bank. Your bedroom is one room that can be decorated on a tight budget quite easily.
Instructions
1. Buy a bedspread that is made up of solid colors. Obviously you're going to want to put blankets on your bed. Blankets that are solid colors are almost always cheaper than more elaborate ones with details and decorations. You can find these at any department store as well as big name discount stores.
2. Use tacks and nails to hang items such as pictures and posters in your room. These are far less expensive than frames. If positioned correctly, you can even create a makeshift collage on your wall by using tacks and nails.
3. Place objects
4. Paint portions of your wall instead of your entire wall. For example, you could paint a word or phrases on your walls. If you're more artistic, you could even paint pictures such as flowers or even a portrait. This will save you a bunch of money since you're not having to buy enough paint to cover all of the walls of your bedroom.
5. Use inexpensive fabric to make curtains for your windows. This fabric can be found at the same big name discount stores as your blankets. Homemade curtains are also very easy to make. Try to match the color of your fabric with the color of your bedspread to create a color scheme for your bedroom.
6. Place pictures throughout the room in order to decorate your bedroom. For example, you could tape pictures onto the side of your dresser or around the perimeter of a mirror in your bedroom. This is a unique way to create a different kind of decorative wallpaper in your bedroom.
