Ideas For A Tinkerbell Baby'S Bedroom

Create a Tinkerbell nursery for your baby.

Tinkerbell, Peter's tiny fairy friend from Neverland, represents innocence and magic, which is perfect for a baby's bedroom. The soothing colors and fun accessories associated with Tinkerbell create a magical haven for your little princess to sleep and play in as she grows.

Walls

Disney offers Tinkerbell and fairy-themed paints at many home improvement stores. You can also find the paint online. Paint the room in Disney paints or in a light green or pink. Use an overhead projector to enlarge and project a picture of Tinkerbell on one of the walls to create a mural focal point on a main wall. Sketch over the image with light pencil marks, then paint the picture of Tinkerbell on the wall using acrylic paints. Tinkerbell wall mural stickers are also available to use instead of paint. If borders are more your styles, use Tinkerbell wallpaper to create a border around the middle or top of the bedroom.

Bedding

Tinkerbell nursery bedding is available online and at some baby stores. If you cannot find Tinkerbell bedding, create your own using iron-on transfers or paint. Iron Tinkerbell-transfers onto basic solid comforters or use Tinkerbell stencils to paint pictures on the bedding using acrylic or fabric paint. Use light pink or light green sheets and bumper pads. Add Tinkerbell throw pillows or small plush animals in the crib when the baby is up and out of the crib for the day.

Decorations

Decorate the baby's room with Tinkerbell-themed posters, pictures, curtains, valances and wall art. Make the room sparkle with fairy dust by spraying glitter glue all over the walls and on picture frames. Place a large Tinkerbell-shaped rug on the ground in front of the crib, or use a flower-shaped rug in pastel shades. Have a vinyl quote printed for the wall that reads "I believe in fairies." Faux flowers and orchids are ideal for a fairy-themed nursery, or make baby blocks with your baby's name. Paint each block with light green or light pink paint and use dark purple paint to draw each letter of your baby's name on a block. Place the blocks on a shelf above the crib or changing table.

Accessories

Some accessories to decorate your baby's room with include Tinkerbell-themed bookends, desk lamps, books, toys and curtain tiebacks. You can even put large Tinkerbell stickers on the diaper pail. Tinkerbell- or fairy-themed throw blankets, pillows, switch plates, outlet covers and fan pull chains can round out the room's theme. You can use stickers to decorate items, stencil on Tinkerbell's image with paint or buy official merchandise featuring her image.
