Make A Jungle Bedroom

Use the jungle as inspiration for your bedroom decor.

Answer the call to a wild side with a jungle-themed bedroom. Decorative accents and an jungle-inspired color scheme combine to create a lively and inviting bedroom that will make you feel as if you're sleeping under the canopy of a lush jungle. When designing your jungle-themed bedroom, choose tasteful elements to bring the theme to life and create an atmosphere that appeals to your sense and invites relaxation.

Instructions

1. Paint the walls of the room green. Choose a deep shade of green for an accent wall and paint the remaining walls a lighter shade of green. Painting the entire room dark green can close in the space and make it seem small.

2. Display tasteful decals of jungle trees on the dark green walls. The decals will add to the jungle vibe.

3. Cover the bed with comfortable fabrics in neutral colors. A brushed cotton or suede tan or light brown comforter suits this style well. Add touches of animal print with throw pillows and a throw blanket; leopard, zebra and tiger prints work well with this look.

4. Suspend white organza over the bed. The organza creates the look of mosquito netting and adds a sense of romance to the space.

5. Cover the windows with plantation-style shutters. Hang floor-to-ceiling green or tan sheers or linen curtains on either side of the shutters to add softness to the windows.

6. Display large leafed plants in decorative urns on the floor of the room. Banana leaf plants and ferns add lush foliage to the space, adding an authentic feel to your jungle-themed decor.

7. Hang tasteful, jungle-inspired images on the walls of the room and set them on bedside tables.

8. Illuminate the space with wrought iron lamps topped by green or tan shades; for a bolder look, try animal print shades.
