Master Bathroom Additions Ideas & Plans

A well-designed bathroom adds elegance to a home.

Making additions to the master bathroom can be complicated if you don't know where to start. According to HGTV, necessities and old appliances should be considered before making plans. If a particular element of the bathroom is older than the rest, it makes a good starting point.

Sinks

Additional sinks or updated sinks can make a big difference in the master bathroom. If shared by two people, having two sinks is ideal. Sinks can come in different styles including glass, stone, stainless steel and wood-based. Picking a sink that matches the design of the bathroom will help tie the design together.

Showers

Enlarging or upgrading the shower can add luxury to the bathroom. Replacing curtained areas with a stone or frosted glass wall will make the shower feel more spacious and add privacy. Frosted glass provides the option to have a sliding glass entrance to the shower, and allows for easier maintenance. Stone walls can be added in an overlapping pattern so that no door is needed, adding a creative element of design to the master bathroom.

Floors

Replacing old floors in the bathroom is a simple task that produces large results. Stone-textured vinyl is easy to install and adds an elegant feel to the bathroom. Laying tiles or stone individually improves the value of the home and adds a certain clean feel to the bathroom, otherwise unattainable.
