Extend A Pullout Dining Table

A pull-out dining table can accommodate a larger-than-usual number of diners.

A pull-out dining table is an excellent choice for those who need to accommodate more diners than usual on occasion. Perhaps your family size is four, but you are fond of entertaining parties of 10. Perhaps your extended family tends to drop by unannounced and stay for dinner. Or maybe you are the go-to relative for family-oriented holidays, such as Thanksgiving. Pull-out leaves are conveniently situated beneath the table top surface, so they are there when you need them.

Instructions

1. Lift up slightly on the pullout leaf. The lifting action will disengage the leaf from the under-table slot. Some table designs require you to lift up on the table top to release the pullout leaf.

2. Pull out the leaf or leaves. If you need to expand the table just a bit, pull out the leaf on only one side of the table. For a larger group, extend both leaves.

3. Lock the leaves into place. Unless there is a manual locking system, you should just listen for a firm click to indicate the leaves are secure in their extended position. If the locking system is manual, consult the product instructions for specifics on secure the extended leaves.
