Decorate A Dining Room With Chair Railing

Dining rooms can be tricky rooms to decorate. Combining both form and function can be achieved by getting creative and having a little fun while decorating your dining room. Using a chair railing can be one way of using your creative mind and enjoying the time you spend decorating your dining room. Throw out all those preconceived ideas of use chair railings and create a dining room uniquely your own. In a short time, you will have a dining room you, your family and your guests will enjoy.


Instructions


1. Use a chair railing to divide your dining room wall. You can divide your dining room wall vertically or horizontally with chair railings. Paint the chair railing a color that will complement and contrast the color of your dining room wall. You can also paint the sections of wall the chair railing created different, complementary colors.


2. Use chair railings to create a faux window in your dining room. Attach the chair railing to a wall in the shape of a window. Use additional chair railings to create sections of the window. You can even paint a mural of an outdoor scene behind the chair railing. Go all out and add draperies to make the faux window appear more real.








3. Use a chair railing to frame a wall mural in your dining room. Attach chair railing to the wall around a mural. Paint the chair railing a color that will complement the mural. This works well for any type of a mural, especially modern art and landscapes.


4. Use a chair railing to create narrow stripes on your dining room wall. Attach chair railing vertically to the wall to make "pinstripes" on you dining room wall. This will add depth and dimension to the dining room wall as well as draw the eye upwards, making the ceilings seems higher and the room larger. Paint the chair railing a contrasting, yet complementary ,color.
