Create A Cozy Bedroom On A Budget

A small bedroom will seem more cozy.

When you're working within a tight budget, the idea of completely redecorating your bedroom might sound ludicrous. However, if you focus on the decorative elements that really matter and bargain hunt as much as you can, you'll be able to create a cozy bedroom that fits your budget. It might take you a little more time to find what you need, but it will be worth it when you're relaxing in your new, cozy haven.

Instructions

1. Add paint to the walls. Opt for soft, neutral colors that will be soothing to you. These include a soft pink, white, beige, cool green or cool blue. Painting the walls yourself is an inexpensive way to instantly ramp up your d cor.

2. Check thrift stores for any cabinets, dressers or other storage areas that you need for your bedroom. A thrift-store find could have a worn, vintage look that makes your bedroom seem more like a cozy country cottage.

3. Shop around for your new comforter. Keep an eye out for a set that matches your new paint color. If you take your time and check many stores, including online stores, you can find a comforter set that fits your budget.

4. Get some inexpensive throw pillows to add to your bed. Again, ensure you match the wall color and comforters. Pulling one or two colors from the comforter works well, and they'll make your bedroom seem much more cozy.

5. Take advantage of some cheap options that can add a lot to a bedroom d cor. For example, inexpensive artwork from thrift stores and garage sales can pull together the room. Doilies on the bedside tables, a vase with flowers or a small decorative jewelry box can add a lot to your space without costing too much.
