Size


Small master bedroom closets will look much more organized when clothes are hung in a systematic way; for instance, clothes that are hung by color or level of formality are more appealing to the eye. A larger closet will most likely have a shelf or two, so casual clothing, like t-shirts or jeans, can be folded and put on the shelf so that there is more room on the hangers for fancier clothing.


Features


Adding features to a master bedroom closet can help to customize the space and make it a part of your room. For instance, if you're sharing the closet with your spouse, decorating each side of the closet with a different shade of wallpaper is attractive to the eye and helps you to keep closet contents in order. If you find that you need more space in the closet, installing wall shelves to hold your accessories or small articles of clothing is a great idea as well.

If you want to make the master bedroom closet just as decorative as your actual room, it's a good idea to paint the inside of the closet the same color as your room. Also, removing the closet door(s) will give you more motivation to keep the closet neat, and adding a brightly colored curtain in its place will make your master bedroom closet especially attractive.
