Match Bedroom & Bathroom Linens

Bedroom linens may be matched with bathroom linens.

If you like a cohesive design to flow from your bedroom to bathroom, choosing matching bed and bath linens is easy to do. For those who have a master bathroom attached to the bedroom, extending the color palette into the bathroom is an ideal way to make the two rooms feel like one. Whether you have bold or neutral colors in bedroom, adding them to the bathroom will enhance the space--no matter what size.

Instructions

1. Decide which element of your bedroom you want to play up with decorative linens. If you have neutral walls with a bold trim color, choose linens that will enhance architectural features of the room and also complement existing bathroom paint color.

2. Choose a variety of paint swatches from a home improvement store. This will help you determine the best linen colors to choose with your existing paint. You may also use the paint swatches to determine colors that contrast with your bedroom décor. If you have neutral walls and trim, choose bold colored linens such as deep reds, blue or greens. If you have bold paint on the walls, choose calming linens in pastels or muted tones.

3. Make a list of items you will need for each room, once you have determined the desired colored linens you want to use. For a bedroom, you will need curtains, sheets sets and comforter, while in a bathroom you will need to find towels in different sizes (bath, hand and wash size) and a shower curtain. If you have a window in the bathroom, choose a simple valance or curtain for privacy.

4. Assemble each of the rooms using the new linens.
