Paint Dining Rooms In Christmas Themes

Painting your home is one of the quickest and easiest ways to make a major change. The dining room is fun to decorate as it's the place that you will likely gather as a family and also to entertain others. If you are planning on a big Christmas celebration, or you just love Christmas, painting your dining room in Christmas themes will look delightful.

Instructions

1. Paint the walls of your dining room in a neutral taupe color. As you will be using a lot of color in this space, the neutral background is the canvas. Allow this paint to dry before you paint over it.

2. Paint a large Christmas tree on the wall using a stencil and green paint. After the paint dries, use stencils to add garland, decorations and a tree topper. The ribbon should be painted with red and the decorations and tree topper should be gold colored.

3. Using a different stencil, create a fireplace with light brown paint. Place this somewhat near the tree. If you are creative, feel free to paint mantel decorations such as candles and Christmas cards. You may have to do this free-hand.

4. Using another stencil, paint a wreath above the fireplace. Use paint colors such as brown, green and red to do so. The decorations on the wreath will be red ribbons, ornaments and pine cones.

5. Paint a border around the entire dining room. This will unify the room and bring the design together. You can either use a stencil or do it by hand. One option is to paint a border of holly using stencils. Another option is to paint ribbons for the border.
