What Bedroom Colors Go Best With Turquoise Curtains

Choosing colors for a room with turquoise curtains is not too difficult.

Turquoise is a bold color with a greenish tone and makes a statement when used in any part of your bedroom. When you use turquoise curtains, the look and feel of your bedroom can change depending on the colors that you choose for everything in your room, from the bed to the floor.

Walls

If you have turquoise curtains in your room, you can paint your entire room in the same color. Having the same color on your walls as your curtains will make your room look larger. To add visual interest in a room with the same color curtains and walls, choose curtains with texture. Turquoise will also go well with walls that are lime green, yellow, brown or gray, especially in a larger room, or any shade of white such as cream or off-white.

Bedding

Just like with your walls, you can create a harmonious bedroom by matching the color of your curtains with the color of your bedding. Aside from using turquoise for your bedding, if you have turquoise curtains, the colors that you can use for your sheets, pillowcases, blanket, comforters, and bedspreads are lime green, yellow, brown or gray, especially in a larger room, or any shade of white such as cream or off-white. Likewise, don't be afraid to mix and match such as combining white sheets with turquoise pillowcases or mixing turquoise sheets with lime green pillowcases.

Flooring

When decorating, you should always consider the color of your floor. If you have turquoise curtains, which is a cool but bold color, you may want lighter flooring. Whether you have hardwood or laminate flooring, wall-to-wall carpeting or an area rug, choose light colors over dark ones such as oak, pine or whitewash for hardwood and laminate floors, and cream or beige for carpets and rugs. Aside from being colors that go well with turquoise curtains, these finishes and colors will open up your room and make it appear larger.

Furniture

The color of your furniture in a room with turquoise curtains can also affect the look and feel of the bedroom. If you have a large room, you can get away with a furniture with darker colors such as wood with a walnut or mahogany finish. White, wooden furniture will work well with turquoise curtains whether you have a small or a large bedroom. Wrought iron furniture, such as a wrought iron bed, would also work well if you have turquoise curtains. Although wrought iron is black, it goes well with curtains that are turquoise because wrought iron furniture pieces aren't solid the way wooden furniture is.
