Decorate A Bedroom With Brown And Orange

Using brown and orange in a bedroom can create a warm effect.

A brown-and-orange color scheme can add depth and richness to any room. Brown and orange are warm colors, which makes using the combination a good choice for the bedroom.

Instructions

1. Hang pictures or decorations that contain accents of brown and orange on your walls. Painting a wall brown or orange can be a bit drastic; therefore, if you want to go with a subtle approach, accessorize with the colors. Hang the pictures and decorations in patterns on your wall, such as in diamond or square shapes, for a stylish touch.

2. Add brown wainscoting to your walls. Wainscoting is wood that is applied to the bottom-third of the wall. The brown wainscoting will not only add a bit of style to the room but will also showcase the brown.

3. Choose wooden furniture. Wooden beds, dressers, vanities and nightstands can be beautiful when stained in a rich, brown hue. Add orange accessories to the furniture in the form of pillows, quilts, blankets and lampshades.

4. Place a brown and orange accent rug on the floor. Rugs come in a variety of patterns, and one that includes orange and brown will add a bit of drama. Even carpeted floors can benefit from the addition of accent rugs.

5. Accessorize your room by adding bursts of orange and brown. For instance, tie brown and orange raffia around the top of tan lampshades to add hints of the color combination. Choose light switch plates that are brown or orange or are decorated with the color.
