Bear Bathroom Decor

Decorate your bathroom in black and white when the black bear is the theme.

Whether you're decorating a bathroom for your little one or you want to give your master bathroom a rustic or natural decorative element, bears are a picturesque way to add neutral color and character to the space. Bright hues to complement animated bear images or understated shades that match more natural artistic interpretations of bears will make the bathroom attractive and inviting.

Colors

Make your child's bathroom more exciting by adding accents such as a red accent wall or a teddy bear-themed wallpaper border that features bright hues of yellow and blue. These colors complement the modest, warm brown color of the teddy bears. Or select shades of olive green, medium tan and muted shades of red to create a rustic bathroom space where realistic images of bears in a deep brown hue are the main feature. The green, light brown and red shades will keep the dark brown shade from appearing stark in the space. For a classic black and white bathroom, add a trash can, shower curtain or toothbrush holder to an all-white or all-black bathroom that showcases the black bear or polar bear.

Wall Art

Decorate with enlarged photos of bears in their natural habitat, such as a polar bear walking in the Arctic housed in a white or silver frame. Or use a picture you took of a bear caring for her cubs among lush green trees during a camping trip as the main artwork in the bathroom to complement the hunter green walls or shower curtain. Wrought iron wall hangings in the shape of bears or bear faces are a neutral but noticeable addition to the bathroom; the dark color of the wrought iron complements an off-white or tan wall well. Posters of teddy bears performing human actions such as brushing their teeth or adorned in a shower cap and towel hung on the main and side walls are cute accents for a child's bathroom.

Bathroom Counter Accessories

Adorn the bathroom counter with bear-themed functional accessories that complete the decorative theme. For instance, a liquid soap dispenser with images of teddy bears trimmed in bright blue or yellow is an attractive addition to to a modestly colored counter in light gray or medium brown. Bear decor with metallic accents makes a grownup bathroom more attractive, such as a soap dish with tiny images of black bears trimmed in gold or a silver-trimmed vase decorated with polar bears. For a kid's bathroom, a teddy bear-shaped toothbrush holder is fitting; a potpourri dish in the shape of a bear is the perfect accessory for housing the dried leaves and essential oils that make the bathroom especially fragrant.

Area Rugs and Curtains

A bearskin rug is an appropriate choice for a master bathroom with a bear theme; the rich brown or black color contrasts with pastel yellow or green shades, or neutral colors such as cinnamon brown and slate gray. Curtains that feature more than one color, such as bears resting by trees or taking fish from a stream, add more gray, blue or green hues to the bathroom, and lend more texture to the space. A large, teddy bear-shaped rug for the center of your little one's bathroom, along with a bathmat in the same shape, solidifies the room's theme. The accents in the rug, such as a red bow tie or yellow shower cap, complement the brightly colored blinds you've chosen for the bathroom.
