Tuscan Bathroom
Tuscan design combines elegant style with casual living. Decorating a bathroom Tuscan will make your space seem like it belongs in a high end European hotel. 1. Try a color wash on the walls. This is different from the sponge painting that was popular a few years ago. 3. Use a vanity that looks like an antique. Tuscan homes are full of beautiful old furniture. Add feet, molding and wood carvings to your existing vanity. Look for curved lines instead of a more modern boxy design. Avoid straight lines at all costs. A granite or marble countertop will make the room feel more elegant and will hold up well in a Tuscan bathroom.
4. Add in drama. Tuscan design isn't for the meek or faint of heart. To turn your bathroom Tuscan you'll need a wow factor. Look for a polyester shower curtain that replicates silk. Replace basic toothbrush holders and soap dishes for oil rubbed bronzed accessories that will match the bathroom faucet. You can even have an iron chandelier installed, just make sure that it's at a height where people can still walk under it safety.
