Decorate A Teenage Bedroom With A Paris Theme

Many teens love the idea of visiting Paris. It is a beautiful city with elaborate architecture and sophisticated style. If you cannot live in Paris, you can bring the panache of the city to your bedroom. A few changes to your current decor can turn your typical bedroom into a Parisian-themed paradise.

Instructions

1. Use cream and black paint. It is a stylish color palate that is reminiscent of the sophistication of Paris. In addition, black and white go with almost any decor. Paint the walls cream and use black paint to border the ceiling and around the door and window frames.

2. Put up wall drawings or murals. There are many options on www.domestic.fr that would look beautiful in a Paris-themed room. A large wall sticker, such as "Measuring Souvenir Paris," can add a unique touch to your bedroom. (See References 1.)

3. Purchase vintage Paris photograph prints. There is a wide selection on auction sites in several price ranges. Bring them to a professional framer who can frame them in the same style of black frame.

4. Hang a chandelier. Paris is about elegance and beauty, and a chandelier represents that. It is also a unique choice for lighting in a bedroom. Check your local hardware store; large chain stores usually have a good selection.

5. Use cream and black bedding. You also can paint the bed you have. Ask someone from the paint department in your local hardware store what would work best with the materials and color of your bed frame.
