Choose A Bedroom Vanity

A bedroom vanity, unlike its bathroom counterpart, is designed with a seat so users can sit when using it. No longer geared toward women, contemporary bedroom vanities are designed for male users as well. Regardless of who uses the vanity in your bedroom, you have a variety of styles and seating options from which to choose.

Instructions

1. Choose a bedroom vanity in relation to the size of your bed. A standard vanity can range from 36 inches to 60 inches wide.

2. Decide if you want a single vanity or double vanity. A double vanity is more common for a bedroom; however, either type can be used based upon your preference.

3. Decide what type of vanity you want in your bedroom. Some of your options include a countertop of wood, sleek stainless steel or polished granite.

4. Choose a vanity that complements the overall décor of your bedroom. Decide among an antique, contemporary or traditional vanity; comparing each to determine which style best fits the overall décor in your bedroom.

5. Decide if you want a glass top, which is available for many contemporary vanities.

6. Consider the vanity seat. Choose between an upholstered bench and rounded stool, for example. Also, consider different materials and fabric styles such as floral accents.
