Crochet Bedroom Slippers

Crochet your own bedroom slippers.


There is not much more comforting and cozy than a nice warm pair of slippers. These attractive Oxford-style bedroom slippers are wonderful to wear around the house. These bedroom slippers will fit a size eight to nine for women. Make these stylish bedroom slippers for yourself or to give as a gift.


Instructions


Crochet the Sole and Body


1. Chain 20 then do two single crochets in the second chain from the hook and single crochet in the next 17 chains. Do three single crochets in the last chain and mark the middle chain for the toe and work along the opposite side of the chain. Single crochet in next 17 chains then do two single crochets in next stitch and slip stitch to the beginning single crochet and turn.


2. Chain one then single crochet in next stitch and do single crochets in the following stitch. Single crochet in next 18 stitches then do five single crochets in the center stitch and follow with eight single crochets. Slip stitch then turn.


3. Skip the slip stitch and do 10 single crochets. Complete three single crochets in the center stitch then do 10 single crochets and slip stitch and turn.


4. Skip the slip stitch then do 11 single crochets and three single crochets in the center stitch. Do 11 single crochets then single crochet in the slip stitch and do nine single crochets. Do two single crochets in the next stitch then single crochet and slip stitch to beginning single crochet and turn.


5. Chain one then single crochet in next stitch and do two single crochets in each of next two stitches. Do 22 single crochets then three single crochets in the center stitch and follow with 12 single crochets. Single crochet in the slip stitch then do nine single crochets and two single crochets in each of next two stitches. Single crochet then slip stitch in the beginning stitch and turn.


6. Chain one then single crochet in next stitch and two single crochets in the following stitch. Do 25 single crochets then two single crochets in next stitch and single crochet in the center stitch. Repeat pattern then single crochet in last stitch and slip stitch to beginning stitch and turn.








7. Chain one then do 29 single crochets and two single crochets in the next stitch. Single crochet in the center stitch then do two single crochets in the next stitch and 29 single crochets. Slip stitch to the beginning stitch and turn.








8. Chain one then front post single crochet in each stitch and slip stitch to the beginning stitch and turn.


9. Chain one then single crochet in each stitch and slip stitch to the beginning stitch and turn. Repeat for two more rows.


10. Fasten off and from each side of the center toe marker skip the next 10 stitches and mark the next stitch.


Crochet the Vamp and Tongue


11. Chain six then single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each of the next four chains and turn.


12. Chain one then do two single crochets in the first stitch and follow with three single crochets. Do two single crochets in the last stitch and turn.


13. Chain one then single crochet in each stitch and turn. Repeat for rows four through 14, and be sure to mark each end of row eight.


14. Chain one then single crochet two stitches together and single crochet. Single crochet two stitches together and turn.


15. Chain one and single crochet in each stitch across and turn.


16. Chain one and single crochet two stitches together. Single crochet in next stitch and mark for toe center then single crochet two stitches together and fasten off.


Assemble the Slipper


17.With the right side facing, insert the vamp at the top of the foot, matching the markers at sides and toe center. Whip stitch the vamp to the sole. Join with a slip stitch in the next single crochet past the side marker then chain one and single crochet in the same stitch. Single crochet in each stitch around the heel ending with a single crochet before the other side marker and turn.


18. With right side facing work the first flap. Chain one then single crochet in each stitch and turn. Repeat this once more then chain one and single crochet two stitches together. Do three single crochets then single crochet two stitches together and fasten off. Do the second flap. Skip the next 26 stitches of the top-line and join with a slip stitch in the next stitch then work the same as for first flap.


19. For edging, join with a slip stitch in the marked side of the first flap then chain one and single crochet in each stitch of top-line. Single crochet in each stitch of flap row edges. For next row of edging, single crochet in the first ten stitches of the top-line then single crochet two stitches together. Do two single crochets then single crochet two stitches together and crochet last ten stitches of top-line. Single crochet in each stitch of flap row edges then slip stitch in next marked side and fasten off. Weave in the ends.


20. Crochet the laces by making a chain 20 inches in length and then fasten off. Repeat for the second set of laces. Thread the laces between the ends of the flaps and ties.
