A bedroom nook is an area that is generally tucked into a corner of the room. Decorate your nook in such a way that you create a space that is separate from the rest of the bedroom. Make sure that the decor style for the nook fits with the rest of the bedroom, even if it is set up like a separate living space. Choose a purpose for the bedroom's nook that will be useful for you. A bedroom nook serves well as a reading area, work space or dressing room.
Instructions
1. Place a bookshelf against the wall of the area you are designating for your nook. Place your favorite books on the shelf. Add a comfortable chair with an ottoman so that you can prop up your feet as you read. Place a small table with a lamp on it to the side of the chair to complete your reading nook.
2. Place a desk in your bedroom nook. Add your computer, important papers, work documents or whatever else you need space to work on. If your nook includes a window, place your desk so that the view is visible to make your work space more attractive. A roll-top desk is a good option because you can close it down and cover your papers and other messes when the desk is not in use.
3. Place a vanity in your bedroom nook and hang a mirror on the wall above it. Place your makeup, hair accessories and other items that you need to get dressed on the vanity. This is an especially good option if you share a bathroom with someone because you won't need to stay in the bathroom to finish getting ready.
