1. Does your teenage girl love music? Then she will love a room that represents her passion for music.

Painting the walls white then painting some music notes around the room. You can get music stencils from your local craft store or you can find music notes on the internet and print them out. You can trace the notes onto the walls using carbon paper then paint them in with black craft paint.

Look for a comforter with music notes. You can also use solid color comforters and sheets. Black, red or white are the best colors to use for a music decor.

Add accents...

Throw rug to match the color scheme. * You can paint music notes on the throw rug to add to the decor.

Posters of your teenage girl's favorite musical group

* You can find great music novelties at yard sales and flea markets to add to the decor. Begin collecting musical items and have fun with it!

2. Girls love color! Here are some suggestions to add color to your teenage girls room.

1. Paint the walls with her favorite color

2. Trace large squares, circles or triangles on the walls and then paint them in with craft paint. * try to use a variety of colors but keep each shape one solid color for a better effect. ex. 1 square pink, 1 square blue, 1 square green.

3. Fill vases with different color sand and display on a shelf.* you can also use fish gravel to fill the vases. It comes in a large variety of colors.

4. Pick one of the colors in the shapes for the comforter set.

5. Instead of curtains you can hang colored beads or tie colored silk scarves onto a fancy curtain rod (10 scarves will do a 36" window).

** Color is good but to much is overkill. Try to stick to 4 colors max in your room decor.

3. Another great teen room decor is color splash. Pick one color and decorate her room with many shades of that one color. Ex. Blue...

Paint the walls a light blue, curtains and comforter dark blue, throw pillows green blue etc...

Color splash is a great way to bring unity into a color design. It a fresh look that will grow with your teenager.
