Decorating bedrooms with cherry wood furniture is all about creating traditional style. Cherry is an older color scheme but it can be either a classic look or a dated look by pairing it with the right soft tones of paint and bedding. Additional artwork and photography in the right type of frame also makes an ideal complement to the room.
Instructions
1. Remove any of the existing furnishings in the space. An empty room provides a clean slate to behind your cherry-wood inspired bedroom makeover.
2. Paint the walls a soft shade of cream. A medium cherry wood is a classic style that works best with simple color choices. Paint just one wall a shade of yellow or peach if you're craving color, but keep the color in a soft tone.
3. Place your medium cherry wood furnishings in the space. Layer white linens on the bed in an assortment of textures. Lace, satin and velvet incorporated throughout bedding, as well as traditional and reliable fabrics such as linen and cotton, provide a textured and sophisticated yet classic look.
4. Select an assortment of sepia-toned photographs. These can be family photographs or stock photography from a print house. The content is your choice, but look for elegant images and scenery. Add these to brass or gold-plate looking frames and mount on the walls.
