3. Choose the room's focal point and add accessories to draw attention to it. For instance, if you have a fireplace in the bedroom, to the hearth by adding intriguing objects on the mantle. If the fireplace is unused, consider filling the black space with a mirror for an elegant look. 4. Choose sleek lines for your bedroom furniture. For an especially chic and elegant bed, consider a canopy style with narrow posts. Modernize the look by adding a thin canopy top, like a silky net, for a light and sophisticated look.
