Clean It Out
Start organizing your bedroom closet by thoroughly cleaning it out. Remove everything from the closet. Have three laundry baskets or cardboard boxes labeled Keep, Store and Go. Purchase the following items at a department store or home and garden store: An over-the-door shoe hanger with pockets; shoe racks that go on the closet floor; a small cork board and pushpins; and open bins that will fit on the closet shelf.
Utilize
Don't use the over-the-door shoe hanger for shoes. Instead, fill each pocket with belts, scarves, pantyhose, socks, umbrellas and tote bags. Nail or screw the cork board to the back of the closet door underneath the . Affix pushpins to the board and hang necklaces and bracelets from the pins. This is also perfect for "notes to self" before heading out the door after getting dressed for the day.
Stack shoes on the shoe racks on the closet floor. Fold sweaters, sweatshirts, jeans and workout clothes, and store in open bins on the closet shelf. Label each bin so finding needed items is simple.
