Cute bedrooms come in myriad styles. A simple pastel scheme, a wildlife theme or cartoons -- all of these will create a cute, cheery room. The main question is one of resources. If you have the time for an elaborate decoration scheme, go all out. If not, a simpler painting strategy can still make a room cute and buoyant.
Pastel Colors
Pastel colors are soft and comfortable and are a simple way to create an endearing interior. The high white content of these colors reflect a high degree of light to keep the bedroom feeling fresh. Butter yellow, light pink, powder blue and mint green are some options. In addition you can paint trim white or use a darker version of the pastel for deeper contrast.
Animal Mural
An animal mural or borders will create a cute, lively room. Start with a goldenrod or similar light, bright base. Use photos as models, and arrange an array of animals like giraffes and zebras on the walls or at the ceiling border. Common domestic animals like kittens or puppies are another option. For something different, paint the walls a medium blue and use fish to create an undersea environment.
Kawaii
Kawaii is Japanese for cute. You can copy several brand name purveyors of products, cartoons and more for a cute bedroom theme. In addition, you can use computer game characters or mascots. Paint upbeat colors like pink and overlay them with kawaii cartoon figures, animals and other forms in bright, contrasting colors.
