Decorate A Guest Bedroom For Christmas

Santa adds holiday cheer to a guest room.

This year let Christmas guests stay in your seasonally decorated guest room. A Christmas-inspired guest room is more personal than hotel digs. Prepare your extra room with decorative touches that represent the joyous Christmas holiday.

Instructions

1. Cover the bed with a seasonally inspired Christmas comforter set. It might have a Santa Claus or snowflake theme. The comforter should be fluffy and comfortable for snuggling.

2. Hang a curtain rod with Christmas-inspired curtains. Your curtains should match your comforter set. You could also use a decorative curtain rod with metal Christmas snowflakes on each end.

3. Throw some shaggy white accent rugs around the room. Be sure to place one on the side of the bed your guest will be getting into and sliding out of. This will keep feet nice and warm.

4. Place a small Christmas tree on top of a dresser and decorate with ornaments your guest will enjoy. The tree should have a few lights that match the colors of the room.

5. Set a basket of scented lotions and hand towels on the nightstand for your guests to use. They could have Christmas scents. Also add a small jar of hard candy to the night stand.

6. Hang Christmas ornaments from an overhead ceiling fan or light kit. Use some fishing wire to hang them instead of Christmas tree hooks.

7. Set a trio of scented votive Christmas candles on an empty tabletop or side table.
