Decorate A Small Bedroom For Guys

Decorating a small bedroom for a guy isn't difficult. Many guys feel most comfortable when they are surrounded by the things they enjoy and have easy access to them. Some guys may show no interest in a particular theme or decorative design as long as creature comforts such as TV, music and gaming systems are present, but will take surprisingly well to a favorite theme when you introduce it.

Instructions

1. Talk to the guy whose room you want to decorate. Find out if he likes sports, art, music or any other activity to excess. This will be the basic theme upon which you focus. This can be particularly helpful if the guy whose room you're decorating has no interest in participating.

2. Select wall hangings, lampshades, a light switch cover and carpeting or a rug that matches the themes. These elements are particularly important for a small room. They allow you to add something to the decor of the room without taking up a great deal of the limited space in the room. For instance, if football is the theme of the room, posters, framed photos, a football-themed light switch cover and matching lampshades are half the decorating battle -- and you're making use of space that's already taken up.

3. Accent the decor theme with figurines, a clock or items that can be set on furniture. Hang a shelf on the wall for favorite music, books or video games. This is another way to bring out the decorative elements without taking up a lot of room. Incorporate trophies for a guy who plays sports and has his own trophies.
