Orange rooms are cheery, dynamic, and bold. When painting your bedroom orange, the key to making sure that the final product won't look too over-dramatic is to choose a paint that has a warm, softer tone. Make sure the color is very even throughout the room to avoid blotchy shapes and take your time while painting. Most importantly, make sure to properly protect areas of the room that you don't want painted before you start.
Instructions
Paint a Bedroom Orange
1. Use a screwdriver to remove all electrical outlet covers and cover them up with scotch tape. Place more scotch tape over any areas on the walls that you don't want to get paint on, such as the trim, the outside edge of the door, or on the base of any light fixtures or ceiling fans.
2. Cut some protective plastic covering using scissors and place it over any carpet or flooring that is in danger of getting splattered. Tape in place with more scotch tape. Place a paint tray over the plastic covering and fill halfway with orange interior wall paint, adding more paint as you need it.
3. Use a paint roller to dip in the paint. Paint the ceiling first, using a small ladder or step stool if necessary. Make sure to evenly distribute the color by using the same pressure the whole time. Paint the walls of the bedroom next, using the roller to spread the paint from the bottom of the wall to the top. Allow paint to dry as instructed on the back of the paint can.
4. Remove all the plastic covering and scotch tape. Use the screwdriver to reattach all outlet plates.
