A dining room is a unique place in a house. Because it is half public, half private -- mostly for family, but occasionally for visitors -- you'll want create an intimate and warm atmosphere. Warm Reds or Browns
Dark warm reds or reddish-brown colors work best in a larger room, or in a room with tall ceilings, to create a feeling of intimacy and warmth. These sophisticated, rich colors are nicely paired with hardwood floors and a large table made of natural materials. Accent these colors with creams, coppers or even hints of earthy green.
Smokey Sage
