Your bathroom's so tiny, you barely have room to turn around without tripping into the bathtub. While you can't enlarge the bathroom without knocking down a wall or two, you can vastly improve its appearance with a makeover. Change the color on the walls to open the room up, and add suitable storage so you have space to keep all your necessities. Rearranging the position of fixtures can give you space you didn't know was there.

A toilet that's positioned at the front center of the bathtub, facing it, blocks the space, while a toilet placed to the side of the tub can open up the room. Consider getting a pedestal sink instead of one with a cabinet to give the look of more space. If you only take showers, a shower stall instead of a bathtub is a space-saver.
2. Paint the walls of the bathroom a vibrant color to brighten the room. Choose a color that coordinates with the fixtures in the room. Tape off any areas you don't want to get paint on and cover the fixtures and floor with drop cloths to protect them.
3. Hang a large mirror over the sink or on a bare wall. Mirrors trick the eye into thinking a room is larger than it is. Maximize the space by choosing a mirror-fronted medicine cabinet, so you
4. Place a wall shelf above the toilet or just above the sink, but under the mirror, if you have room there. You can also install a wall-mounted cabinet or drawer if you need more storage space.
5. Add decorative touches by installing a new shower curtain, if you can, and by hanging a valance curtain in the bathroom window. If you have a large-enough window, hang cafe curtains below the valance.
