Decorate a Red Painted Wall in a Kid's Bedroom

Decorating a red painted wall in a kid's bedroom doesn't have to be a frustrating experience. Whether the red wall is there and can't be changed, or red just happens to be your child's favorite color, it can easily be turned into an enjoyable accent with some basic materials and a little creativity.

Instructions

1. One of the quickest and easiest ways to decorate a red wall in a child's room is to apply a wall sticker to create a unique design. Wall stickers or murals can be purchased online or at many home improvement stores.f your child is old enough to help with the decision making for the decoration of the red wall, have them help decide on a theme. Themes for a red wall could include a firehouse, a unique modern shape design or a fantasy concept.

2. Wipe the red wall with a damp cloth before applying wall stickers or decals to remove any dust. Determine where decals will be placed on the red wall and mark with pencil.

3. Remove the decals from the backing and press onto the red wall. The decals can be removed or moved at any time.

4. Paint a wall mural for a more permanent design to decorate the red wall. Decide on a design and then draw with a pencil directly onto the red wall. Paint the mural with wall paints and paintbrushes.

5. A stencil can be used along with colorful wall paint to create a unique boarder or design on the red wall. Stencils can be purchased online or at craft stores.

6. Determine where to position stencils and mark with pencil on the red wall. Tape the stencil onto the wall using painter's tape. Paint over the stencil with selected wall paint color and a roller brush.

7. Remove stencil and repeat as often as desired.
